ITIS launched a real-time traffic information service for customers on Orange World in November 2003. The AA Roadwatch branded service provides constantly updated traffic flow information to customers displayed in colour.
| Orange customers are the first to be able to access the service. Users can scroll up and down affected segments of any UK motorway and see a colour coded scale that shows traffic conditions such as stationary, queuing, slow or heavy traffic. This "at a glance" service is supplemented by live incident data, advising users of the cause of a specific problem as well as additional ITIS data displaying traffic speed and delay content.
The service is available on a wide range of popular handsets including models from Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Sagem. |
